The internet is a place where one can vent about how the world has mistreated them, misunderstood them. Most of the anger is unhappiness in re: you're relationships. W/ your boss and the company where they work. their current and historical relationships wit the other gender ( or the same if that's the way they swing, your family whatever. That unhappiness can be channeled a # of ways, most of them unpleasant. Self-pity is an ugly sentiment. It also will often be an an attempt to abdicate responsibility for that situation. It is so much easier to point at someone else and blame them for their lot in life, an individual or a group. Some of the examples may even be true though likely exaggerated. If I find out what I need to do get a better career, a different girlfriend. Just 2 examples but in the 1st, it might be a choice between another couple of years of education, a different girlfriend might require some gym work. In the first, if it's the $ in the job that's getting someone upset about complaints will often take the form of "if it weren't for all the illegal aliens..." Watching TV while drinking beer and bitching about how the universe has mistreated you or- more likely- the gov't (choose which party you hate) and all the (choose which group of people you usually spew invective at) are both easier than going to night school for the extra training you need to qualify for a better position. Bitching about "those fucking..." is easier than volunteering to work with a candidate you like,
In general, everybody realizes and has no problem saying change is inevitable and a part of life until they are the people that need to either change or it occurs to them as part of the normal course of life events.
As soon as a supervisor or someone higher on the career ladder mentions that, " we need to make some changes" people automatically assume it's going to be worse for them.

It's also easier to look at yourself and give yourself excuses about fuck ups like, no wonder I dropped an 800# anvil on co-worker I've worked so much the past couple of weeks, OR my wife and kids are driving you crazy. People are judged on their behavior, not their thoughts. Stopping someone from killing a kitten is harder than saying "people shouldn't kill kittens" ... Sorry about length

Because it´s their way of saying it out. It´s more likely to be heard online because offline no one listens. Even if they say it out, no one cares.
There are always guys that get lost in the struggle of life. History is written by the winners by the people that managed to overcome an obstacle.
Many guys feel like they are ignored and no one cares about them or their problems because they are a number in a lottery of people (also known as citizens of a country).
The internet seems to be the welcoming plattform for them to communicate their need for communion.
Many guys are frustrated because they feel like there´s no place for them in this world.
Not every guy is born with the genes to be built muscles easily or a strong will power and the ability to solve and get interested in mechanical problems.
Modern society has become shallows guys and girls a like swipe the seemingly ugly or average in the No category when it comes to dating while telling every one who asks them that personality is all that matters.
So some guys start to fight for their dreams and some guys fall back. It´s natural process. It might get dangerous though when those guys start shootings because being miserable and self-destructive isn´t recognized as a mental illness so there could arise problems.
But who would honestly care about solving that problem then?

Primo - since we know how the majority behaves, the standards for such behaviour aren't high. In that case, we can say that most men want to... "mate"... with girls online. Then, they get rejected and they are bitter or angry.

Secundo - women on the internet seem to be always either successful, toxic or infamously successful. If they are successful, men's ego is threatened, thus they are sad and disappointed in themselves and they are bitter or angry. If they are toxic, obviously, they gonna get "slapped" by "very original" arguments and insults. It happens to men as well, though, but women tend to be more calm and quiet. If they are infamously successful, such as being an OnlyFans "star" or porn actress or whatever else that could be "infamous"... well, we know the drill.

Tertio - if women are less "productive" or "good", trivially said, they get trashed as well. Just because. Men do be like that, sadly.

Quarto - there are more men than women online, at least they are more visible, which gives them enough courage.

But it isn't as visible as when the internet has started to be "in" and "trendy". Now, I don't see that much sex-related harassment online.

The main reason is modern day feminism. It’s really destroyed the desire for men to want to be with women and settle down and get married. The original benefit of marriage was so they guy would have a purpose which is providing for his wife and kids and she makes the house into a home, What feminisms has done is made it so men and women have to work and the divorce laws screw men completely. I heard this story of a guy who was making 500,000 dollars a year his wife cheated on him. They divorced now 80% of his pay check goes to her and he can’t afford rent even though he’s making half a million a year. In modern times women have become a detriment to men’s happiness.

I think the more pertinent question is "what causes suffering to devolve into bitterness?"

Because we all have claim to having suffered in one way or another. But many of us do not become bitter despite having suffered.

So we should investigate the mechanisms of bitterness itself, at the practical and phenomenological level, rather than merely at a hand-waving or judgmental level.

We shouldn't ever be so arrogant to presume that we're not also capable of falling into immense and intractable bitterness ourselves. Remember, society is only ever a few weeks' hunger away from cannibalism. None of us are above such base and contemptible regressions.

The question isn't "why do bitter people exist?". That should be obvious. The real question is "why WOULDN'T they be bitter?"

And that's a rabbit hole you might never get out of, because the more you delve into someone else's suffering, the more you may be horrified to see a pale visage of yourself reflected in their dulled eyes. So tread carefully before reaching for hand-waving dismissals like "oh they must be entitled virgins" or whatever. Such dismissals are more a denial of your own shadow than a confirmation of someone else's.

A lot of people seem to vent their frustrations online, and it seems that online forums seem to attract a lot of bitter and angry people who seem to avoid in person interaction and prefer online. Perhaps some of them have given up on pursuing the opposite sex and choose to vent about it online instead.

Also, complainers tend to choose to sit around and complain rather than do anything different, and many people in their lives will only listen to so much of that, so perhaps they resort to venting online.

I think a lot of those sorts of men view the internet as a place to vent their frustration about the way many women treat them IRL. You gotta understand, there are a lot of incredibly corrosive women too, especially in the western world, and the guys who vent their spite and frustration online are the guys who have been subjected to those women's abuse.
