The careless, cruel heartbreaking ones , the badboys. What turns them this way?

They are narcissists. Usually, as kids, they were always told that they were important and special (even when they did nothing to earn a "special" distinction) and were almost never told "no" - OR, they were essentially not parented AT ALL, and were allowed to do whatever they wanted. Either way, they learned that the only thing that was important was what THEY wanted, and what anyone else wanted (or felt) didn't matter.

The problem for women is that such men behave in a very confident way (because, after all, they can do no wrong, when they never have to consider anyone else's feelings), and women are drawn towards confidence. Many women are also drawn to bad behavior, because it seems a bit "dangerous", and that's exciting, especially to younger women - but they never seem to realize that the bad behavior will be directed in HER direction before too long.

Yes, often they were hurt by a girl early on, and blamed all women for that, and never forgave them, and thus felt entitled to do whatever they wanted, or tell any lie, etc., to get what they want - but that's really just another sign of narcissism, and in almost all cases, the narcissism was there long before any girl got involved. It's almost always a result of how his parent raised him.

If it was a woman, we'd call her a spoiled, manipulative brat. In a man, we call it a "bad boy", but it's really the same thing.

I think it's mostly that our brains aren't as good at understanding and dealing with emotions especially when we're young and so there's just a lot of unresolved shit inside. And it comes out in different ways for everyone. But some guys are just assholes and don't want to be different.

Some people are just simply not good people. Also, I think a lot of the selfish, cruel, and heartbreaking types tend to be self-centered and immature. A lot of young people who are like this don't really understand the impact they have on others. Yet, some do and don't care. It's hard to say what causes it since it can be different for everyone, but they just lack empathy or are too wrapped up in themselves to be considerate of other people.

To be fair, one should ask that same question about Women. They tend to "turn", as well. Sometimes it is self-esteem related. Other times they have hit their breaking point in one way or another with the opposite sex. There are SO many reasons Men & WOMEN experience this transition.

They started this way. People All start this way. We are all needing to become enlightened. I have always tried to be the most mature person I can, Never slacking from personal examination. But I am not the kind of man most women want because they cannot handle my unflinching examination. People prefer ignorence and many stay assholes because of this. Meditate and study and you will begin to not be drawn to these kind of people.

I just love how women reason in this thread. "no women were ever mean to me so women can't be bad".

It's not allways about you. Men can just as well carry grudges towards women as a group if they've had overly negative experiances with women.

The old Nature vs. Nurture. Could be he was born that way it could be women that made him that way.

I used to be very kind and trusting. But woman after woman beat it out of me. I still think I'm pretty kind. And I can be friends with women. But anything beyond that and I'm suspicious of what her game is from start point go.

I don't think they had a good roll model when they were growing up. They probably hung around the wrong people also. These and I'm sure other reasons make them bad people. There are also bad women too. I think it's the same reasons for them
