I sit as a security guard at a desk where this handsome young guy Looked and smiled at me Then scanned his ID. He said “hello how are you?” Instantly I felt it was odd that such a handsome man would ever smile at me. It’s such a rare occurance. He smiled as if he appreciated seeing me.

but I tried to take it as just a friendly gesture And nothing else. His coworker didn’t look at me at all as he scanned his Id and went upstairs.

I couldn’t figure out If he’s interested or not.

A person smiling extending a kind greeting doesn't always mean they have ulterior motives. Smiling is seen as a kind gesture. Need more data such as body language, your personal emotional state at the time, intuition, etc. to determine possible intentions.
