Why does he say these things when drunk? Does he mean them?

Hello, Im currently in love with my guy best friend. We are not dating. He knows how i feel about him it is complicated and long but basically I’ve known him for 4 years. he doesn’t want a relationship, last girlfriend was toxic. He hates “feelings”. But confessed to me the other night when he was drunk that he does have feelings for me. When he drinks, he is super affectionate. He also told me that i showed him what real love is.

Ha me and my boyfriend started out this way. I remember one night we had drunk sex and he said that I am beautiful , I remember pausing in the moment and freezing even though I was drunk too because I couldn’t believe I heard those words out of his mouth. My situation may have been the better outcome, him having feelings doesn’t necessarily mean he will cave into a relationship.

My boyfriend was the same exact way. He said he tried to fight his feelings for me. I think your best bet is to prove you will be there for him even after the drunk moments. Me and my boyfriend would have drunk sex but I would also stay with him for a couple days

Oh trust me, i proved it already. I've been there the past 2 years. I was there when he was in jail/prison for 16 months. Im his ride or die lol

My boyfriend is traumatized by his past relationships , but I have worked past his problems with him and we are growing strong. This guy needs to find himself out of trouble. You deserve to be his girlfriend if you stuck around when he was in prison

So with alcohol it depends on who someone is inside by that I mean it can bring out someone's inner demon , with others it makes them calm and relaxed , and still with others they are funny the life of the party , it can make someone shy very flirtatious

For a lot of people alcohol is a truth serum but how does he act when sober? The question you have to answer: Is the risk worth the reward? Is the possibility of losing the friendship something you are willing to risk?

We have been very close for years. He knows how i feel about him already. He on the other hand needs to stop fighting those feelings

Thats where the risk comes in. If he isn't ready to be in a commited relationship he may distance himself but he also can not expect you to wait around either
