So I’m in a very sticky situation at work…
- we’re both very intelligent, kinda nerdy and have leadership roles. He’s more closed off, reserved, engaged, has depression and isn’t good with feelings (his words). I hear from other people he treats others badly at work - never me though. I’m more outgoing, talk to everyone and wear my heart on my sleeve.
- I see his pic and immediately have a crush
- I get closer to him and we start talking everyday, he also initiates
- as time goes by we get closer and closer, flirtier and flirtier
- one day we sat txting until 4am, about sex, but not sexting
- I ask him if he likes me, he says yes, then I ask if he knows in which way and he says yes. Not convinced I tell him I like him as more than a friend and he says “better as friends”
- flirting continues, we move on to sexting, he sends pics, I don’t
- I find out he got engaged and didn’t tell me (not that it’s an obligation, but I felt hurt)
- ask him again if he likes me and he said, literally, that he was BSing me all along
- we stop talking during my time off work
- I get back he txts me again and we start talking
- I ask him a third time if he likes me and he says “if I’m coming to you some way that’s not it, only friendship) - I’m not sure if he means it’s just friendship or if he doesn’t have feelings for me at all
Extra:
- he’s told me recently that he adores me. This was after I said “if I worked for you you’d love me”, but in our language love is replaced by adore, to which he responded “you don’t but I already adore you”.
- another day we were talking and I said you don’t treat me badly so why do you do with people there, he told me it’s different. I ask how and he says it just is by that he wouldn’t tell me “here or anywhere else”. I insisted some more but he told me to drop it and I did.
Am I just someone to pass the time? Did he really play me all this time?
Also, I know that workplace is bad and that he has a fiancée
