They shouldn't get mad of course.

That said back when I first studied some psychology in highschool my teacher began by giving us each a copy of the DSM-V. We were asked to diagnose the person next to us. I fail to recall if we picked conditions at random or if there were sample conditions.

In my class of about 20, at the very least 15 of us were noted to have "Some to strong indications" of the random condition we were being diagnosed for.
As far as I know, to date, no one of us have any outstanding psychological conditions.

My teacher did this to show that:
A. A psychology diagnosis is absolutely not reliable.
B. You can fit most conditions to most people if you want to.

This has been replicated at a professional level multiple times by having the same patients be diagnosed by different institutions. The average results, I am paraphrasing from memory, are vastly different. People being given a diagnosis is common but more often than not they are considered to have completely different conditions. So well, really we shouldn't take a diagnosis from a professional too seriously. Taking a self-diagnosis seriously would be foolish too. At best it is a point of reference or somewhere to start.

To provide insight to you as to the perspective and reason or lack thereof of yourself and others of course.
I also admit that as a point of reference your self-diagnosis might serve a purpose, as for an actual diagnosis it wouldn't hold up. The little analogy is meant to help you second-guess it yourself as well. The whole thing outlines why people might disagree with you.

Really even if you remain adamant in your view I feel I still provided potentially useful tools for better communicating it. If someone is in disbelief or refusing to take it you could for example draw inspiration from what I said, understand them and leverage that into a point of mutual consent.
And a few other things. But really, it is all up there.

Because you can't self diagnose it. If you were serious about wanting to know if you were on the spectrum you'd see a professional and get treated. Self diagnosers are attention seeking twits. Like the idiots who want gluten free water. (They've no idea what gluten is, they're following a fad.)
