Do guys wear cologne to impress women?

Been working with a guy for a few years now, we have started having lunch together, chatting, flirting etc, last couple of days he has turned up for work wearing cologne, which is not something I have known him to do, is it to impress me, I mean he smells amazing, but I don't know if I'm reading too much into it...

I'm wearing cologne right now. There isn't any woman around me, nor am I expecting there to be. It's just something I do. There are different colognes for different occasions.
How I wear colognes:
Designer colognes if I'm with a girl.
Barbershop type colognes are for work or church.
Cheaper colognes Simply smell like soap. I wear them to smell fresh like i just stepped out of a shower, maybe on holidays or just kicking it around the house.
There are seasonal colognes too. Some are better for summer and some are for winter.
These are just guidelines, I don't always follow them.

Women wear perfume all the time too. Are they doing it to impress guys?
Why do you suspect a guy is doing it to impress women?
Maybe he thinks that if he is going to be around someone at work he should try to smell a little better. Cause, you know, He's working.
I don't know, are you chatting, flirting and having lunch with him to get laid?
Yes, you are reading too much into it, I don't read into other people too much and I never wear cologne to try and impress girls cause girls are all different. Doing things for someone else has a lot of assumption behind it. Some people aren't going to like it and you can't please everyone. You can only please yourself.

Not necessarily but it includes that - It's more hey society here I am look at me I smell like a god which makes me sexier let's home no one smells better than I do haha look at Barry only putting deodorant today what a cheap cheap man.. That's how it feels like, if you're a prick like myself I guess

I can't think of why I'd bother to wear cologne. If it wasn't to smell good to women.

Typically I only wore it on a date. Now it's just when we get dressed up and go out.
