u +1 yI think it depends on who you are and what kind of guys you're interacting with. That and it can't be boiled down to one specific item. However, as some have already noted, sedentary lifestyles and unhealthy diets are a part of it.
Some will also point at feminism, and I'd have to agree. But I don't know how far into the weeds they get on it. For one thing, I'd have to wonder how many people have fully considered the wide-ranging consequences, for example, of several generations of women using hormonal birth control. They take these pills or inject themselves which cause their bodies to work differently than they are naturally designed to, and not only that but they'll urinate these chemicals out, which will then get into the water supply because they don't always get filtered out in the treatment process.
Add onto that that many women aren't getting married or having children until their late 20s or early 30s and have been taking said birth control since their teen years. I would think that that the residual chemicals and hormones would have some kind of effect on their children (and please correct me if I'm wrong on that).
Then there's also cultural messaging, via news and entertainment media (not that there's much difference between them today, but that's another discussion). You also have the education system which puts boys and young men in environments for which they might not be well suited and, in the case of college in particular, delays significant decision making for several years.
Basically, there's a lot at work here and some things will effect some men more than others.00 Reply

1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Because the fact that back in the day all men used to be strong and mascular is a stereotype. That´s simply not true but wishful thinking. There were many guys that were rather thin than looking like Thor or some super hero. The reason many guys don´t look that way is genetics and masculinity is changing. If you don´t have good genetics you won´t get a perfect sixpack without taking the right pills. Having bad gens leads to guys being hairless, too. Besides that many guys don´t wanna be seen as some loud and aggressive strong-man anymore. One of the reasons is females are changing so are men, it´s like yin and yun. If one sex is changing the other tries to adjust themselves to the new situation.
Feminism has impressed many guys and has turned the submissive and feminine guys to the surface.
These guys are intimated and don´t want to cause trouble. There are some strong, dominant men still exist, but they might be a minority nowadays. The other point is hard work isn´t always satisfying so why do that if you can have pleasure staying in your comfort zone. So many guys instead of learning a mechanical job, fixing a car/go fishing/ whatever struggle with porn or video games.
It also seems to be safer because the dominant and strong guys often times get canceled by society for going too far so guys rather want to be empathic, soft and emotional instead because they can only be either way.
Many women they prefer guys to be open with their emotions, so guys are getting more likely emotional and soft.
So maybe you should change you´re friends and go for other guys you prefer.00 Reply

+1 yWell, first off: the voice thing unfortunately there's nothing that can be done about that. You work with what you've got on that one whether you like it or not.
Second: as for the shut-in part, if a guy doesn't have a good reason to go out he's not going to go out, work is typically the main thing that makes guys leave their own place to begin with. Unless he has friends or hobbies that mean going outside that's really the only real reason to go out.
Third: as for the skinny thing metabolism and lack of exercise are to blame, metabolism again nothing can really be done for that. Overall the solution is to just work out. Unfortunately, a lot of guys don't see the use or benefit of working out anymore, now some do but not all of them. Some just don't want to put in the time or effort for one reason or another.
Last but not least: the geek thing, there's nothing wrong with being smart whatsoever. You can learn a wide variety of information on just about anything from TV, videogames, books, comics, and many other sources such as libraries or just through the internet period. Technology nowadays right?00 Reply322 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. You're conflating the idea of leaving space for a more open, less toxic masculinity with a degradation of masculinity as a whole. The existence of men who do not put their entire ego into their ability to lift, provide, and abuse their wives who are unable to leave does not mean masculinity is gone, it means it's getting better. Men still are growing beards that stretch on and on, they're still chopping whole tree stumps but for tiktok, they're becoming blacksmiths for the fun of it. Hell, I had a friend respond to a fire and went powerlifting earlier.
What you're actually doing is romanticising about a time period which outside of living costs wasn't that great for most people in the first place. You're watching men pick up other men even if they don't fit your definition of masculine, like women did and do for women who want to work and have their own bank accounts. You're watching "man" come to mean many things but complain it does not look like the time period you were not even alive to experience. It's sad, really00 Reply4.4K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Same as it ever was. Just like women, some men have higher voices, some deeper. There are plenty of strong fit men if that's what you want. Some have physical jobs, some have professional jobs but keep themselves in shape. I'm in high tech. Some of my colleagues have been into rock climbing, serious mountain climbing, competitive sailing, and various strenuous sports.
If you want to meet men like that, get involved in some outdoor activity group. Single women in such groups can take their pick. Some of the men are a bit shy, but generally they are very nice and very fit.00 ReplyYou know what I got a nice deep voice but one thing I also have is a hairy body but I shave that s*** because f*** that it's so uncomfortable hair is disgusting beards are disgusting that s*** just holds dirt and f****** who knows what else and it makes you stink maybe you like cavemen that's all good with me but there's a reason humans have been evolving to have less and less body up mostly because we don't need it but I'm not primitive mine that I guess I try to like I don't know why don't you grow all your body hair out because you know you women get almost as much as we do and see how much you enjoy having armpits fillet hair in a crotch in the middle of summer and then come tell me not to shave off my s***

+1 yI have a deep voice and only shave my face. I usually tell it how it is.
What has happened to men is simple. Society has us painted as the enemy. The political correct squids are conditioning boys now to be weak. They wish to deprogram any masculinity, as they see it as toxic.
Those who haven't been programmed are likely to play along with the squids, because they don't want to have to deal with all the bashing.
So... your result is a weak, beat down effeminate person.
This is what modern society wants.00 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yCould it be their mothers raised them like that?
Could it be cultural norms have shifted and they adapted to them?
Could it be that being a strong virile man get looked down upon for what used to be normal?
could it be... Guys have molded themselves to what they think women want.
I know girls hate taking responsibility and accountability for the problems caused by previous generations of women. But men aren't the only ones to blame in this.
You want a strong man? Be a feminine woman.00 Reply
+1 yLol back in the day, you are tops 24.
because someone has body hair does not make them macho lol.
Going back 20 years guys where shaving backs n sacks lol.
The reason, because we could.
If I fancy popping down to local spa hotel for some clay shooting, massage, sauna and wax session, I will do it, because I can.
Definitely my body my choice type of thing.
oh and I can do the deep voice thing as well.10 ReplyIt really kind of boils down to sedentary lifestyles and an extremely polluted diet and environment. The average milennial men has appallingly low testosterone levels, and it's because we work deskjobs and eat pesticide and hormone soaked food that's sealed in plastic.

Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yWomen spent years telling men that if they were only softer, less masculine, less pensive, less stoic, more communicative, more emotive (more like women, basically) that women would love it and they'd get better relationships and more sex.
And the silly men believed them...10 ReplySoy.
I know it sounds like just a meme, but I honestly think there's a good chance that between soy, corn syrup, sugar, hybridized wheat, and vegetable and seed oils, testosterone production has been handicapped by diet across society.00 Reply

Yeeeeeep.
It's funny because all these supposedly "manly men" who would never do stuff like that, end up being the biggest cry babies of all.
At some point they are gonna realize that not everything that worked in attracting (or forcing) relationships 50 -100 years ago will work today.
Opinion Owner+1 yYou couldn’t have said that better! A lot of dudes aren’t ready for that conversation, though.
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yNatural and social selection happened - those are the traits that were prefered by past generation since they passed onto the next generation, and traits that were required for survival in current unstable society.

But its because gays and other weird stuff are promoted and when men are raised with nobody to look up to then they get confused with all this stuff.00 Reply 3.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. It is mostly liberal weenies. They get the most press from the fake news. My sons and all their friends are all normal American guys.
00 Reply4.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Because of woke ideology. Masculinity is being shamed. Also guys have was less testosterone than other generations due to plastics being in everything.
