Why boys do that?

Well basically it happened to me 2 times before and is happening to me right now. I have this one guy best friend who's been hitting on me for a couple months now but ever since I showed him that I like him too, he stopped texting me etc. Why does he do that?

He is probably afraid to mess up the current relationship you have. If possible, go hug him and then talk with each other about stuff you both have in your mind (hugs can melt a guy who is worried)

Did you *really* show interest in him? What do you define as showing interest ''showing interest''? Note that just replying to his messages and reacting to them is NOT interest in most guys' heads, at least that's what they've told me. You have to reach out and ask on dates - especially if you have ever cancelled them.
