Let's be very clear here... it was women, NOT men, who drove the move away from traditional gender roles. Men have been forced to adapt, but it sure as hell was not our choice.
Trying to pin the lack of traditional relationships on men is incredibly dishonest.
Well it really was mens faults. Men gave women the vote. Men pushed their daughters to attend college and get careers. Men stopped disowning their daughters for being whores. Men made the divorce laws to take care of women and children first.
Did women do that stuff? No. None of it. Men have gotten weak asf even so much as to blame women for it.
@bamesjond0069 men didn't want to give them those rights. Women were not quite at many not even peaceful about it. Many refusing to cook, clean, take care of children or have sex. Destruction of property. Massive protests on the streets. Many industries stopped. Caused millions to be lost. Eventually they had to give them rights. Because the situation was just escalating more and more.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 im trying to be polite here but... excuse me. Are you on crack? Thats the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Did some women act ridiculous sure but the vast majority did not. Since when does the whole of society NEED to bend to a handful of hysterical morons? Thats what simps do. Cave in to childrens demands. "A woman asked so i had to do it" lmfao thats so weak. They should have put cuck antlers on those retards and threw rotten veggies at them in the town square.
@bamesjond0069 to give you an example. Do you know the prohibition law? Made drinking illegal in the US some decades ago? Do you know who first started it? Women. Do you who began the process to end it? A woman called Pauline Sabin. And you think they can't make shit happen?
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 do you know who made prohibition happen? Men. Seeing as it was only men who could vote. Im not sure about you but I've had a girlfriend or two get hysterical and scream and cry and break things and such, i just said no again because not only did i disagree in the first place but its morally wrong to bend to violence, blackmail, manipulation. Only weak useless men do this. Did women literally take guns march on DC and take over the government in a civil war? Then they didn't DO anything since it was men who actually had to do it.
@bamesjond0069 yes men approved the law, but women began the push that led to that. Women literally stopped doing basic house chores to make pressure for their husbands to stop drinking. And they did it until they approved of it. For the voting rights it was even worse. Like I said they made the situation intolerable until they had their way. In other words they took it.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 "Women literally stopped doing basic house chores to make pressure for their husbands to stop drinking. And they did it until they approved of it. For the voting rights it was even worse."
Lmfao. I don't know what to even say here. In an era when you could hit your wife, you really think men were shaking in their boots because the dishes didn't get washed? And if that really is what did it, those men are called beta simps.
If my girlfriend doesn't do the chores i just punish her and if it still doesn't work i can just take away her monetary privledges because i pay all the bills and if that doesn't work then i just toss her on the street and get a new one. I can't imagine ever caving to a womans shit because she stops doing the chores. If thats all it takes for a man to give in he should just cut his own dick off and put a dress on.
@bamesjond0069 yes you could hit your wife. But you needed food. All she needed was to endure one beating and you would spent and entire day starving. And remember no sex also and the massive protests.
We can call women weak all we want, but a bread maker in my country killed five Spanish soldiers during their invasion of Portugal many years ago. With that really long two handed ladle they used. Vikings had women warlords.
Not every girl is submissive and when they want something they fight for it. They did it until they had it.
Give being a MAN now adays is wrong. its so bad to work for what you want and do physical work. in the US they want all of us to be bunch of pussies. i say fuck that i was born a male and i been doing male things all my life and i will not change for anyone
you forgot cheating wife beaters as a part of that description, though to be fair the cheating may well be part of "womanizer". then there is the sexist thing where those "traditional" men also expect women to have no opinions, only serve/service him, do everything around the home and likely only view her as breeding stock and property.
@ asker, if this is not what you meant then please define "traditional".
Traditional men are highly looked down apon as they have tended to be less affectionate and inclusive in and out of the sheets. While being a gent, also losing their control. Think lots have fallen from it because typical man gets a bad rep. And add a few bad relationships when they try their best and we get men who rather not try so hard. There needs to be balance and hardly ever is. Half of us are sexually infused and half are disgusted and turned off by the suggestion of sexual acts.
My sense of being traditional is not American based, it is a combination of Modern Japanese standards for devotion aspects, and the ancient Greek within the fires and forges of your willpower. Those standpoints are about as gender fluid as it could possibly get without money being a factor involved within it.
Many men, including myself abandoned the idea of a "Traditional man" when it became obvious that the overwhelming majority of women seemed to consider traditional customs patronizing (Implying women were weak or some stupid crap like that). Every single gesture we have done has been interpreted in the most uncharitable way possible.
They are still out there but more and more men realize that they aren't appreciated for traditional masculinity so they abandon that.
Traditional means having all of the same crap that led to the #MeToo movement happen again. Traditional roles had men having all of the power and women having to just take it with no equity or inclusion of women in a lot of spaces. We don't need that back.
Toxic feminism and feminazis (not actual feminism and feminists) have ruined both of them by demonizing those who still want traditional roles instead of just promoting straight-up equality, which includes individuals making their own life CHOICES.
There are a ton of double standards regarding genders the difference women are ok w/ the ones that benifit them but complain about the ones that don't. You can't have traditional men unless you have traditional women.
That's not even remotely the same thing. In order for a man to be "traditional" the woman needs to also be traditional. If the man is traditional and the woman isn't what is he getting out of it? Being a "good" person doesn't have any relevance.
I have a fairly traditional man, other than he does earn less income than I do. Heās a good cook, is physically active/outdoorsy, but also is very tidy. He likes holding the door for me and showing affection.
Western society is pretty gynocentric and many women would view a man who is a traditional provider as someone to be milked in a divorce or simply not a real prospect for them. The market for a "beta provider" among Western women is relatively small.
KIds today are brought up with social media and are taught that traditional values are outdated and the way things are now is much better.. I have seen people ask on this site if social media is good for people. Overwhelmingly they vote NO.
See. This isnāt fair because I am currently wearing the exact same suit and hat as the guy circled in green because I am definitely a classy guy and a gentleman.
Back in the day marriage wasn't even decided based on love, it was more of a transaction between families which was closely monitored by each respective family.
Women couldn't vote, they were considered lesser than men. Hell, the whole prohibition movement started because drunk men were beating their wives so much.

@bamesjond0069 In the end, men always pay for women's mistakes.
@Inbox When was the last time you were worried about being raped?
@bamesjond0069 that right was not given it was taken.
@This_Is_My_Opinion8 how so?

@bamesjond0069 you have no idea the chaos they created do you?

@This_Is_My_Opinion8 are you retarded or have autism or something? Are you on hard drugs? Im genuinely curious at this point.
@bamesjond0069 all I said was true. Historically true in fact.

You mean alcoholic womanizing white supremacists? Yes, there are a shit load of them.

Id totally wear a monocle 🧐 if it was back in style lol
There are a ton of double standards regarding genders the difference women are ok w/ the ones that benifit them but complain about the ones that don't. You can't have traditional men unless you have traditional women.
that's basically the same thing as saying you can't be a good person unless other people are also good...
That's not even remotely the same thing. In order for a man to be "traditional" the woman needs to also be traditional. If the man is traditional and the woman isn't what is he getting out of it? Being a "good" person doesn't have any relevance.

I think he is an excellent teacher for our boys. I do agree with you that they seem to be less and less of them around.
Can you tell me what You think the word traditional means? Because all that You wrote is basic knowledge of being a real dad, not a "traditional man"
Yeah if traditional Men existed now , you would Blame then as Mysoginists , sexist and much more which at certain levels may or may have not been true
Them * auto correct kills my words shitty autocorrect
I wouldnāt blame them. I love traditional.
You would if you were in real contact
I am in contact. All the men in my family are patriarchal and male chauvinist
Yup , so thats what I said above
I don't see how that's a double standard, unless you're a gender abolitionist or something.
Because of social movements that literally seek to abolish traditions and norms.
Western society is pretty gynocentric and many women would view a man who is a traditional provider as someone to be milked in a divorce or simply not a real prospect for them. The market for a "beta provider" among Western women is relatively small.
I believe you women call them nice guys. Or boring.
Men have since (d) evolved because being a gentleman didn't work.
^This.
Men are always the same. Their outfit hasn't changed since the 1800s. Oxford Cloth Button Down is new nowadays since 1930s or something.
It's not until recently that you get all these male grooming like an array of shampoo and shirts.
KIds today are brought up with social media and are taught that traditional values are outdated and the way things are now is much better.. I have seen people ask on this site if social media is good for people. Overwhelmingly they vote NO.
Aren't we all wondering? :-o
That's not traditional. You can be the man of the house and not hit your wife.
@089Lexi lol unless she likes it... ;)
@Subarugirl. Exactly. š
That's a different story lol
See. This isnāt fair because I am currently wearing the exact same suit and hat as the guy circled in green because I am definitely a classy guy and a gentleman.
You women *do* know that back in the day you were just considered property by these "traditional" men.. right?
You men *do* know that it means to be a traditional manā¦ right?
Yeah lol.
Back in the day marriage wasn't even decided based on love, it was more of a transaction between families which was closely monitored by each respective family.
Women couldn't vote, they were considered lesser than men. Hell, the whole prohibition movement started because drunk men were beating their wives so much.
So being a traditional man just means you watch over somebody you consider half a person and don't even really love deep down.
You are so far off base lol
What do you think it was like then?
That isn't what traditional means
I think women who feels that nostalgia has a romantic idea of the past, but I also believe their nostalgia doesn't go beyond the victorian era.
Women are still considered property in some parts of the world.
