not true at all. my girlfriend and i called it quits after being together for more than two years. i was absolutely heartbroken. even though i was extremely hurt by what she did, i could never hate her. i continued to love her from afar and fast forward more than 6 months after, i still haven’t moved on from her. i haven’t gone out with a single girl since the break up even though she has moved on and gone on a couple dates with guys. so to answer your questions, while some guys do move on quickly, there are many who don’t. it took me 4 years to get over my very first love.

I didn't with my first love (which in hindsight wasn't my first girlfriend, although my younger self would have told you I was in love with my first girlfriend, but I have no point of comparison). Took me years to fully recover and during the time I talked to a lot of guys and found my share of those who also took a year or longer to truly move on from their biggest breakups with the ones they most wanted.

With my other exes though, I moved on pretty fast: weeks to a couple of months, tops. That one that took me years though was one to whom I was engaged to be married.

Depends on what you mean. From my experience, I've heard women get in new relationships quicker but don't recover psychologically as fast as men. That's why they use the new relationship to try and numb the pain from the previous.

Of course, I've heard from women that men do this too... so honestly? Who knows 🤷

It's going to depend on the individual and the circumstances of the separation. I think some guys move on quick to distract themselves from the emotional fall out from a separation. But that does not change that they still have a lot to work through.

I think that guys used to the dating game, and are not creeps do not fixate on a girl if she is not interested or it does isn't meant to be... so yes they tend to move on fast.

Only been in one serious relationship, but my ex did move on much faster than I did. Just depends on the guy most of the time though, some guys do move on faster.

No, I don't think its the case for most men because they might not find someone else who is better. Its difficult for most men to find dates. Also if they are working age they might be working full time and no time to play.
