By hug I mean a short one (1-4 seconds), not a long swaying embrace.

Like its funny that the whole point of avoiding homosexual stuff or even simple things like hugs is to show you aren't soft and have a spine. But if your spine is threatened by a damned hug, you're spine really isn't that strong, is it? Like you've disproven your point in the process of trying to prove it.

Absolutely, I do embrace hug one of my best friends in public, it almost looks like a movie scene where we are going to kiss after. The reality is I adore him to death, and I know it's mutual. Just goes to show we have a strong bond. We've done a lot together, and both madly successful. Damn straight it's okay.

Men are so devoid of affection; physical touch, compliments, validation, etc. Dont let society hold you down, express your affection for other men. Hug them, kiss them on the cheek (if culturally appropriate), complement them on their haircut or new shirt, hell if you are sexually attracted to other men then ask them out. I have one friend who will beat you up, if you touch him. His father has had to pay out near millions in court costs over the years.

But the funny thing is the guy is otherwise sound. Just flips a switch in him when someone touches him.
