Why not I mean there's nothing wrong with huging guys especially if the friendship has gone past the awkward stage where you both are either not ready to date one another. Or for mutual reasons dating is not an option yet your still close and want to be able to just embrace the friendship as though your siblings. I dont see anything wrong with that so long as you. Both agree not to take advantage of that kind of friendship.

I miss the days when everyone just hugged everyone. It was like a hello and goodbye thing and that felt so much more warm and friendly, now so many people think of it as becoming more intimate. It's the same way with people sexualizing breastfeeding. Americans have so many hang-ups

It's fine to hug your guy friends, but you have to be mindful with how you do it. If you press your whole body against him, that's a much flirtier hug then just a simple quick embrace.
