I wouldn’t generally be best friends with any woman. Male comradery generally makes for better friendships… A lover is a bit different than a friend... That said from a friendship standpoint, in elementary school I use to hang out with a couple of Black kids most days. There were two Black girls Yolanda and Mo'Nique that use to tag along. I was friendly enough that Yolanda had a crush on me and asked me to be her boyfriend in 4th grade. I didn’t take her up on the offer, but obviously we were friends on some level for her to get that idea. Then when she got rejected, she played the race card like a moron so I had to stop hanging out with her because she was a fucking racist psycho… In middle school and high school this Black girl April use to hang out with us several days a week, drink, smoke bud, and chill. She tried to get with me a couple of times, but I wasn’t into her. She’s was a pretty down to Earth person, just not my type. In middle school I also hung out with this darker Dominican girl Tatiana and some other Black girl but for some reason I can see her face right now, but her name eludes me. I want to say Nadia, but I don’t remember... It’s been a while… They’d be around maybe 3 or 4 days a week. This Haitian girl Rachelle use to also tag along in high school to a lot of concerts/music festivals with us. I known plenty of Black girls, and been friends with them. If you don’t have chip on your should, it’s not an issue.

Guys - at least single, hetero guys - generally aren't "just friends" with women. We're not built that way. If we don't want a relationship with a woman, or casual sex with her, then we usually aren't interested in anything beyond being a casual acquaintance. That's simply the nature of men.

Most people don't care about race - though CULTURE can be an obstacle when people come from two different cultures.

I never understood this. Most of my female friends are not someone I would ever want to date. In fact until recently (past 10 years) I wasn't friends with anyone I wanted to date.

Are you in a relationship and/or are you able to get laid without much difficulty? If so, then you aren't a typical single guy. If not, then you are an exception to the rule of typical single guys, because the vast majority of single guys can't be around an attractive (to him) girl without wanting to bang or date her. His desire to do so - even if he never acts on that desire in an overt way - still affects the relationship and makes it not a true friendship.

Some men don't feel that way, but most of them are either in relationships or can easily get casual sex (because they are good looking, wealthy, charismatic, etc.), so their sexual needs are largely being met already. And a few just don't have super strong sex drives or sex just isn't very important to them.

am in a relationship, but the girls I wanted to hff have sex with weren't ever my friends until about 5 years ago. At that time ai met one and became her friend and then a while later another. The second became my girlfriend on June 29, 2018 ( at 1010). She is my first, current, and only girlfriend. Fact is I was able to cultivate multiple friendships with girls who were objectively pretty with no sexual attraction to them whatsoever. I understand cultivating friendships with hot girls to get closer to them. However you can also cultivate a friendship with girls you don't find attractive too.

Yes, you CAN, but it's relatively rare that guys do. It's not non-existent, but it's rare.

I would love to be friends with anyone but if there has to be a limitation because of a skin color that i didn't ask to be born with, then I guess thank God for being a lonely introvert because that is NOT a world I'd want to live in (even though we all do anyway, sadly)

I know I'm not a white guy lol, but if you're worried, I know I might be a little helpful, all of my friends are majority guys ( I have female friends as well ) and majority of them are white. One of my best friends is a white guy and he's also my boyfriend.

@abc3643 Because a best friend generally tends to be someone with whom you share a similar background, life experiences, likes in terms of movies/music/books/shows, frames of reference etc... And thats very unlikely for me and a random black girl.
