I think likely that is a very difficult thing for a guy to bring up to anyone, let alone a girl. He probably figured you wouldn't judge being so close and he'd get some feedback from the female perspective.

I would absolutely would take that to mean he trusts you implicitly. Just judging by the insecurity guys have on this site about size, saying it to a close friend has got to be a tough thing to do.

I'd venture a guess he has a lot of trust and respect that you wouldn't judge or ridicule him about his insecurities. You must be a good friend to him. He's lucky to have someone that close tbh.
