Why is this guy so mean to me only?

This guy in my class constantly is teasing me and saying mean things to me and about me. I sag hurtful things back but it doesn't make sense because he's only mean to me. he likes my friend texts her about me in class but she has a boyfriend. I don't understand I think he is just trying to get her attention but it's at my expense. I just don't understand what his problem is.

Maybe he likes you? Anyway try to ignore him. Walk away when he approaches you. show you don’t care. When a bully calls you a name, look at them in the eyes and laugh hysterically and walk away without any additional conversation. If keeps doing that, report him to the teachers or school principal
