Why would a guy you know use a fake account to reversely follow and unfollow you all the time?

A guy from my college made a fake account to watch my stories. He liked a pic of mine and then removed the like several months later. Rn he is following me but I’m sure he will unfollow again at some point. What could be a reason for this?

I had someone doing this to me, he finally kept me blocked because he’s found another victim… I honestly think he’s doing that to see if you’ve moved on… They usually do it to keep tabs on you… I’m not sure if guys consider this stalking I personally don’t, it’s just a way of manipulating and trying to see if they can make their way back into you life..

But he doesn’t try to message me, either he follows or likes a pic. How would he expect to come back by doing that?

Well I think he’s doing that to see if you’re going to be the one who reaches out first.. I could be wrong because everyone is different, but that’s just what it sounds like to me.

It is crazy, lol I’ve had that happen. The guy pretended that someone was cat fishing as him but it was him.. I blocked the account shortly after. Lol

Yes I did, and I honestly believed he was being catfished. I told “the person” that I was going to message the guy that they were using his pictures. Lol so I asked him if he knew about the account. However, I realized he was lying about it and that it was in fact him when he called me by a nickname only he and I know.
