Hooked up with this guy over the weekend. Kind of knew it was just gonna be a hookup but the sex was so good and there was definitely some chemistry there. He took me on a date and actually made some effort to get to know me. The day after our date/hookup, he left for a trip. The night before, when he left my place, he texted me and even called me to check on me. When I said goodnight, he didn't respond and it's been 3 days without a word from him. He even unmatched me on Hinge (which is where we met). Just confused as to why he texted me/called me when he left my place and then went ghost.

Ugh I absolutely hate hinge! It is infested with men like that and there’s really no reason for their behavior outside of them just looking for sex. That guy did what he had to do and said what he had to say to get you in bed, then he probably didn’t want to look like a complete asshole afterwards so he gave a few last gestures, but now he’s done. Sure he may call you again to butter you up with kindness but it’s only to bed you again then go ghost. It’s a horrible feeling of being used so I’m sorry you have to go through it. I don't know what you’re looking for on there, but if it’s to actually date someone then you’d probably do better being upfront about your intentions and asking theirs. That way if they are honest about wanting something casual then at least you can decide if you’re fine with that. They snatch that opportunity to make a knowledgeable decision from you when they are not forthright, but why would they be? The honest truth of just wanting sex or something casual wouldn’t get them half as many women as they get by putting in a bit of effort.
