My doctor can remember?

I had a myoma uteri with this doctor a week ago and it went well. Today, i had a follow up appointment with him again. He can recall the conversation i had with him last week e. g. i’m currently living in apartment instead of house, name of my hometown. Is this normal doctor to remember these things?

It’s weird that he cannot remember the surgery date last week since he asked me when did i have a surgery. But he can remember the detail about my place of living on the top of his head.

Hey, I'm studying medicine so I can tell you is very normal and important to doctors to remember a coversation with a patient, because every single word could help to make a diagnosis, indeed, we take notes. Doctor must have a good relationship with patients as well. All details are important. So yeah, it is very normal for a doctor to remember all those things. You've got a good doctor, Good luck!

After a week, I wouldn't over think it. Normal. Some people have really good memories. It doesn't necessarily "mean" anything.

I have a co-worker that can remember people and details like no one I've ever met. Mind blowing! lol And many people, not just a few.
