Does it mean anything if a guy waits around to talk to you?

I could just be reading too much into it, but here’s the story.

I had to give a speech/presentation for one of my classes and when it was over, people came up to me and chatted etc. I noticed a guy (I’ve seen him around before and we’ve talked before) in the back of the room. As people were leaving the room, he was still there. Anyway, as I was leaving to go home, the guy called out to me and made small talk.

I was just “stuck” on the fact that he waited until most of the people left to talk to me. I guess my curiosity stems from “why couldn’t he just talk to me when everyone else was?”
