How come he wanted to know what my problem was?

A guy, I use have a crush on, said to one of my friends that I’m weird, that I block and unblock him, he asked her what is my problem? She answered ask her it, he said he can’t ask me that question because I blocked him. When I was interested in him, he would show interest than act not that interest the next minute the pattern was ongoing he lost interest in me. He wasn’t being honest with me was denying about being violent and a bully in his past. He showed me a photo of him hurting himself which was upsetting to see. He would pretend to make time for us two to hangout he never actually put in effort, I felt it was one sided.

I think he was simply unaware of what he was doing or if he does then for sure he's struggling mentally due to complicated behavior he is showing. Or the other way around, but I would recommend for you to confront him about the issue and if it don't work out then it's time for you to decide whether you should still deal with him or not.
