I texted my crush who I already hooked up with a few months ago and stay friendly with him. I said.. hey you're a really good kisser. and he ignored me. left me on read. I gave a compliment and he ignored it. I think that's messed up. Why would a guy do that? at least say, hey thanks. or something?

So basically you were trying to test the waters and are upset that he didn’t bite. Unfortunately that’s how a lot of men are. You gave it up already, he’s not interested in pursuing you, hooking up again or anything of that nature, and so he’s ignoring you. Yes it’s cold, but you just didn’t make a good choice and should try making a better one next time. Sorry if that’s blunt but you’re not on here to be lied to.

Well, that's a pretty awkward compliment. Maybe next time try something along the lines "Hey, I Had a great time, I really enjoy your company, Id love to get together again sometime." This will go a lot further to get him to chat. Most men don't receive compliments well and such will only illicit a "thanks" if your lucky.
