Why do guys act interested and then stop the next day?

Without asking that person you can't really know. Maybe something you did turned him off of you, maybe he is a dick, maybe he just busy. Could be waiting for you to text/ call him seeing if you like him. I could put in a million guesses but better to ask, preferably in person.

Playing on your phone and not paying attention to him, talking way too much about another guy, even if it's just a plain friend. Browsing a dating site in front of him. Openly farting and I've known a girl to do it so I know it's a thing. Talking way too much about yourself can turn a guy off. Yes he can ask about you and want to listen to you talk but it's nice to have you ask about us.

Could be possible but I kept catching him staring at me and he kept holding long eye contact so I don’t why someone would do that if they weren’t interest haha
