What is your perception of this man’s commitment level? Will he stay with his girlfriend?

I can’t figure this guy out:

- he never talks about his girlfriend but has mentioned her rarely
- we asked him a bit about his girlfriend and he said he told her that he was very busy from the beginning and that sometimes they go weeks without seeing each other.
- they’ve been dating for 3 years this way and so he claims it’s like it’s been just 6 months because how little they see each other but he takes her to family functions weddings, vacations and such.

it’s such a weird situation they seem serious but yet not at all.

what do you think his deal is?

I can’t help my feelings for him I wish he would be single :(

You don’t have to figure out or understand the inner workings of his relationship, because it’s not for you or anyone else but them to get. After three years, they are comfortable with each other and the way their relationship is set up. Integrated in each other’s families and lives, there’s nothing wrong. Just because he isn’t filling you in all the time about them doesn’t make it confusing or like some sort of puzzle. You’re better off setting your sights elsewhere rather than hoping their relationship ends so you can swoop in.
