How to compliment women with out coming off as a creep?

I like to compliment women, and I’m genuine about it. I’m not looking for anything sexual because I’m married, but sometimes I hold back compliments because I’m worried they’ll think I’m a creep or something.

It’s less about being a creep and more about just simply being appropriate, and maybe that could be holding you back to an extent as well. Compliments are generally always appreciated by women, like hearing that we look nice or whatever. But is it crossing a boundary in your relationship to comment to other women about their looks? Like saying ‘hey Sarah you look very nice today, I love that shade of green on you’, is it really necessary for you to make her aware of this? It’s not something my boyfriend would ever do.
