Did I catch my ex lying to me about stalking me online?

My ex and I split, and he blocked me on Instagram right away, however ever since he blocked me a new account showed under my story views as seeing my stories I’d post. The account is his last name spelt backwards. It’s only 4 letters and it’s a common last name and it’s a work spelt forwards so I wasn’t fully sure. The account is private and follows maybe 15 accounts and has 10 followers and 0 posts. This account watched my stories for months. When I asked if it was him when we saw each other again, he said no it wasn’t him but then said “let me see” so I opened my phone and showed him the account and he asked “who does it follow? let me see” and grabbed my phone from me as I told him it’s a private account you can’t see the followers, then he so “oh, huh, well not me” and gave me back my phone after trying to click on the following list.

Do you think it’s him? Since he tried to see if we could see the follower list? Like why would he care who this account follows? He didn’t try to help me figure out who it was after or anything.
