Should I accept gifts from someone I've rejected?

A guy friend of mine (we're decently close) confessed to me and asked me out. I told him I wasn't interested in a romantic relationship and wanted to stay friends. But he still wants to send me gifts and is willing to spend money on me in general. At first I attributed it to just him being nice, but now I suspect that a part of it is to, yknow, pursue me. Even though I clarified I'm not into him. I don't want to be narcissistic but I also don't want to take advantage of him. Am I overthinking this? Is it okay to accept his offers? Or should I turn them all down?

He is hoping to buy your love. Accepting gifts forces you to have involvement that you don't want. Turn down the gifts unless extremely valuable such as a new car or writing you a check to pay for a semester in college.

REJECT them. Reverse it, if you liked him and were giving him gift and he accepted them, it would probably encourage you right? Same with him. Even though you've told him, he's still trying to "win" you over, and so you accepting them gives him hope. It's the same as women that "hint", it leaves room for hope. You can still reject nicely, thank him for the thought, but please don't get you any more gifts and you aren't accepting them.

He's still trying. You need to reject the gifts and tell him again in a very clear message that you are not interested in him. It doesn't sound like "friendship" is a possibility.
