Well, sleeping is a valid need. People need sleep, and it's kinda impossible to sleep and text at the same time. Or at least do so with any sort of grace or authenticity.

Awkward convos can be a problem, but convos aren't one-way. Are you doing everything you can go move conversations forward, too?

If you're interested in this guy, it's worth having an honest talk and just letting him know you're finding conversation awkward. Try to explore good topics you both enjoy, make a list and work your way through it.

Turns out he wasn't even sleeping. After he randomly stopped replying for two hours he sent me a picture of his dinner he prepared. I opened the message but didn't reply.

That's why I didn't even bother replying anymore. Time and time again I try my best to show interest and I'm not feeling it back.

You can't truly show interest over text. It's just not possible. What you think is showing interest may be nothing like what he thinks. This is one of many reasons texting is a fundamentally flawed way to communicate.

You are at your 'social peak' now. It is easier to meet and socialize with people through school than at any other time in your life. It just blows my mind how many young people rely on starting and supporting their relationships online. It doesn't work.

He has no interest in the conversation or sorry to say you. I'd just delete and block him, talk to someone who wants to talk to you. Talk to someone who wants to listen to what you have to say.

That's exactly how I feel. I figure that regardless of who it is if they're into you... they'll show it. It doesn't matter if it's day or night they'll make an effort to talk to you and if they're going to be busy or sleeping... they'll tell you but even then, depending on the amount of interest, they continue to hear you out regardless of what's going on. Oh well, I guess you're right. It's time to move on.
