We hooked up for 3 weeks where he was actively texting me , meeting me and we were hooking up. But then he started coming less and less on his whatsapp (he intentionally does not open the app but I ve seen him answer people through the notifications bar and he did that to me too).
He finally wrote 1 line saying bes super busy with his PhD (he isn't he barely studies) and after that he ghosted me.
I texted him many times but he never replied and his read receipts are also turned off.

I can't believe this guy. We even went to Cornwall together for a week where I stayed with him at his friend's cottage and we had sex a lot.
But after that trip, he changed and was only replying to my texts but not coming to see him.
He stopped that too.

Are you sure he isn't busy? I know you don't believe he studies but studying gets busier at certain times in school. That would have been my first guess. If that isn't it and you are sure, sounds like he used you for what he wanted and now on to the next girl.

If that is the case, feel lucky he didn't use you for longer and then really break your heart. At least this was pretty short time and no serious feelings developed. I am sure you are still crushed by it and certainly you have the right to be.
