Is this normal for a man of his age?

A 26-year-old friend of mine. He drinks alcohol almost every afternoon after work. He parties and gets drunk almost every weekend. His life is now about drinking and chatting to women on messenger and, if he can, having sex. He has casual relationships and tries to get all the beautiful women at once. He is not looking for a long-term relationship. I was afraid that he would burn out quickly.

It´s not necessarily normal but it´s not unusual since he might not see a reason or a chance to have a long-term relationship because of his lifestyle.
If you ruined your reputation it´s not easy to improve again, there is a point where it´s irreversible he might feel like he has reached that and point.

Your friend is an alcoholic and needs help. As AA will point out, though, he must want to get help on his own.
