Every time I bump into this guy, or when we were at a club he texted me to meet me outside for a chat. He always asks me what I'm doing at the weekend, but never says anything else. He also says he was wondering if I wanted to go and watch him play football.
But all of his chat is "what are you doing this weekend"- is he just making (dry) conversation? Or is he wanting to make plans?
some may interpret this as his being interested; however, note he's asking if you want to "watch him play football."
consider that he's not necessarily concerned about what YOU want to do for yourself, he's wanting to know if you would like to watch him perform, not do anything WITH you.
I'm a little bit confused... how much more direct could the guy be about trying to make plans with you?
