Why would he keep asking me to hang out and when I suggest a day, he blows me off?

a guy has been texting me recently and asked me to hang out about 2 weeks ago. we never set a date to hang out, and we keep going back and forth saying "when are we hanging out?" or he'll say "I'm so bored. what are you doing?" but he'll never explicitly say "hey wanna hang out tonight" which is kinda weird.

so finally tonight he was like "when are we hanging" and after we've gone back and forth a few times like that and I answered with "well I'm finishing up a final paper tonight and I'm planning on going out tomorrow, so would Wednesday be okay?"

and he hasn't responded. and then said "oh sorry I was at the gym"

i responded with "oh haha that's okay"

and he still hasn't confirmed Wednesday.. so I take it he's not interested then and just looking for a way to not respond

whats wrong? we don't know each other that well and I haven't done anything to offend him. he even was the one that started texting me first.

You didn't do anything wrong, hun. The guy just loves the chase, or just loves the fact that he's got your attention. I've got a few guys doing the same, and none of them confirms a date. They'll always be asking when are YOU free to see HIM, but will never mention when HE is free to see YOU. It's nothing so bad tho, just some guy wanting some attention. Don't take it too seriously, just keep in mind that if he really wants to see you, he will be the one giving you the date and time. I guess all this guy wants was some harmless flirting. If he annoys you tho, just ignore him.

It's kinda funny tho how when you don't reply to the guy's txts, he'll initiate more convo's with you.But don't be flattered by it, it just means he needs some reassuring for his ego that he is still wanted.

he doesn't seem to actually want to hang out, or make time for that. he texts when he's bored and the fact that you respond and also want to see him may be a kind of ego boost for him. if he wanted to see you, he would've suggested a day already, or if he's that shy, he would have confirmed wednesday.

he seems to be just wasting your time, so either stop responding, or if you enjoy your texting convos, just don't have any expectations from him. think of him as a text buddy when YOU'RE bored too, and that's it.

Ok when a guy text you and says "im so bored" that not good because he just texting you because he has nothing better to do and he is all talk he really doesn't want to hang out with you he is just full of sh*t. You didn't do anything wrong guys are just pointless sometimes in the things they do. I say find another guy or guys to talk to you always need variety. And if you finally get time with him don't it may be just because he was really really bored that day...good luck

He texts you when he's bored. That doesn't mean you did anything wrong, he might have 3 or 4 girls he is texting. Just stop making plans with him because he likes the ego boost of knowing a girl wants to chill with him but doesn't really have respect for your time. Some guys do it as a game. So only respond to his texts when you have nothing else to do, other than that put him on ignore!

well girl some guys can be that way trust me when a guy says he's bored it sometimes can be wrong or right he could be scared that he's gonna get hurt or something else with guys you can never know AIMP!(always in my prayers)
