Does he like me if he stares and somerimes purposely sits behind me?

There's this guy in my math class who I like. Whenever he comes in the classroom, our eyes always meet, until I break the eye contact. But sometimes it's like when he comes in, he's already looking at me. Anyway twice, on different occasion he has sat behind me. He usually sits in the back in his same seat and I in the front, and one day when he entered the class I looked at him first, we stare into each other's eyes, and without a word he sits behind in one of the seats behind me. 2 weeks later he did the same, but nothing happens. We don't talk and he acts the same in the class, as if he were sitting in the back. Does he like me? I am attracted to him, but I'm shy. I'd be willingly to ask him out if I knew he was interested

Stop the staring nonsense and TALK to him. That should give you a good idea if he likes you or not.
