I do not know you @CrazyGirl2 or @Aerissa_Jade. You are right. And again, I don’t really care if my opinion on this matter pushes you away. It’s just an opinion. But responses do matter. How you respond and how you react to things tells me a lot about a person. You may feel it’s sexually inappropriate. That is the feeling you get from a simple pickup line. You have the options like you mentioned to say what you say and walk off. That doesn’t hurt or bother any man that’s trying to put said girl up. I’d rather chill with a female that’s confident in herself to know that a line from a cheesy pathetic male isn’t worth getting pissed off over and holier than thou. Great relationships that I know have started because the women decided it’s not worth the time to feel some type of way as soon as a guy says something they don’t like. If you take it as rude, that’s on you, respectfully and honestly don’t want a second chance.
However, all that to say, I observe lots of people before I approach anyone. And if I hear reactions from women that are in line with how you both would react to milder instances. I wouldn’t even waste my time, honestly. But I HEAR your side.
