Does he hate my gifts? Or is he hiding them for another reason?

So I have a guy friend that I like at work. Occasionally, I will buy him just little treats when I am at the store. Ic- Hot for his knees are hurting him, his favorite candy, etc. He was keeping them stored in the top drawer of his desk in case he needed them. However, lots of people go in there since we keep tools or things in there as sort of storage as well.

Found out today he moved the last few things I got him ( and most likely a lot of things) into a drawer at the bottom of his desk, where only he keeps his stuff, hidden under some of his clothes. I cannot figure out why he would just move them. Does he hate the stuff I got him and he's just trying to be nice in accepting them?

Maybe he thought these are private things and it's not other's business, so that's not professional to keep them in that "public" drawer. Colleagues might think those items are "for everyone" and to use them by themselves, or that this man has a secret lover and he has a girlfriend or a wife and doesn't want gossip to spread, or just he is reserved and doesn't want to answer questions they could ask about who given him those things.
Hardly, he "hates" those gifts. Items are generally useful things, sweets are objectively good stuff, etc. So it's for sure nothing bad in the items themselves, it's difficult to "hate" small gifts like those, at most he could be neutral about them.
Either way, when a woman gives gifts to a man, and even more, very specific gifts like these, it's a very strong sign of interest, so he most definitely knows, or highly suspects, you're into him, unless you gift things to all the colleagues too. If he doesn't make a move and doesn't gift you back anything similar (caring about matching your interests and tastes, etc, like you do), or doesn't try to get more privately in contact with you, then **this** is the worrying signal, not the fact he moved your gifts elsewhere. The more you invest in him without an equal exchange, the more you're trapping yourself in your own debt you are building up. So be careful and wait for his moves before giving more and more, considering also that giving too much (without equal reciprocation) would make you granted and of lower value than you think, to his eyes. The value we see of the others is also determined by what we invest in them, and by what we receive from them. If you don't let him invest because you put yourself as granted, he won't see your value, because he isn't "paying" that.
Consider also that men are used that women are unavailable and any crumble of caring attention from a woman is god given material (unless they're in navigated friendships), so what you're doing goes much beyond the sufficient hint to make him understand you're available in case he wants to make his moves. Let him refill your desk drawers too, or at least to start texting with you more confidentially, before doing more...

Maybe he's just nice and doesn't want to tell you to stop buying him shit. Maybe he doesn't want others to know that you're picking him up items? I would suggest you stop buying things for him

Maybe he moved them to the bottom drawer because people were taking stuff from him. He put them in a drawer that nobody would go in
