Yes it's very flattering, especially since I tend to feel like women are not as enthusiastic about guys as guys are about women. Every time I see those videos on YT with women making the first move, it's does feel nice to be proven wrong.

As a woman, I say YES! I always like making the first moves on the guys I like. It’s funny to get their reactions. My favorite ex, and my meh ex had a great reaction, but my others pity dated me because of it, so… 😅

As a guy with crippling social anxiety. I have a very hard time to talk to people, and it's even more difficult if it's someone I'm interested in. (I'm also horrible at picking up on hints)

So when a girl asks me out, it's such a relief for me.

They aren't very good at doing so because it's never been in their nature to do so in the first place. Due to this it can be very awkward and as a result... a turn off. As a man, when you approach a woman, you understand certain cues, you consider her body language, proximity, her friends, environment, and much more.

Actually in the Victorian period, women used to drop their headkerchief for the men to pick and approach them. So women have been making the first move as long as men has. And it is in our nature. We chose which men we want to have offspring with. Certain traits that some posses are more attractive to women and we see that as a sign as a strong, healthy man who are capable of reproducing and capable and protecting us and our offspring.

So just as some men make the first move, due to their nature, being predators and whatnot, women choose the men they rather be with.
