Guy's Behavior

I asked for him to keep in touch more but instead he pulled away, what should I do?

I’ve only been dating him for a month but we seen each other almost every day. He goes out of town for work a lot and he doesn’t always talk to me. I asked if he could keep in touch more so I know he’s okay and he didn’t like that “I told him what to do”. He later apologized but I told him I felt disrespected. He didn’t understand why I felt that way, which is crazy to me. He tried to talk to me and I ignored him but I later responded when he asked what’s wrong. I told him I’m not mad and left it at that. He now barley speaks to me at all now. Should I tell him I’m no longer interested or just never respond when he reaches out again, bc I know he will.
