There’s a guy I’m into at a place where you can play games and he works there. Him and I have become friendly and even started to flirt quite a bit. I messaged him if he was interested in hanging out and he said yes but this summer just flew by without meeting up.

He eventually told me that he’s not really over his ex and not in a place to date. which is totally fine but when I went in last week he said oh you look nice tonight… You always look nice. So he knows I’m into him and we have really good chemistry when we talk.

my question is… Should I just give up or is he still into me?

If he is there telling you he is not over his ex. It means he isn't emotionally available or ready to date. Do you wanna be sitting around for months or even years with the possibility of him never fully getting over his ex.

Because I told him I was into him when I asked to hang out. So he knows this. So I was confused by his really nice complement to me.

I guess because it sound like it was a compliment from a guy that is into a girl. But he said a couple months ago and he wasn’t ready to date so I don’t know if he is actually in to me.
