Why don’t men chase women anymore?

My answer is that I view it as too much hassle.

- Feminism/misandry

- MeToo (false claims of "harassment" or "sexual assault")

- Hookup Culture (perpetrated and gatekeeped by women, just like any other sex)

- Women are too entitled/arrogant nowadays

- Too may women don't appreciate/want gender roles anymore

- Men are burned out with dating/relationships

- Some men are sick of simping/financially bribing a woman into liking him

- No quality unattached women around where they are

- Some men are fine with just loose sex and have women chase them

- Too busy with work/life

... Do I need to keep going?

Lets take a yesteryear situation of a small town. There would be a small number of guys and girls. Even in a large city there would be a relatively small number of guys and girls that could meet even though the population would be much higher in total.

In that environment it made sense to pursue a comely girl because you could succeed.

Enter dating apps.

Girls mostly swiping left on 80-90% of guys then refining it down from there. There are about 50 million men on tinder. So pursuing a girl has little chance of working.

It is a hassle and a waste of time.

Because they are not expected to anymore, or at least shouldn't be. Both men and women should be pursuing the people they are interested in now.

Because we supposedly live in a gender-equal world, which means no more gender roles, so we should expect to see women chasing men, too. And most men now fear being accused of something and facing legal problems.

The more important question here is... why are women not chasing men?

Several reasons:

Chasing/approaching women has become a hazardous endeavor for men in the post MeToo world.

Hookup culture and casual sex are replacing relationships.

Men chasing women is a traditional gender roles thing, and traditional gender roles are maligned these days. Of course, women still want to be chansed because they only want to get rid of the gender roles that don't benefit them.
