Guys, texting girls you like vs girls you dont?

How do you text girls that you like? If she texts you do you just text back as a conversation? Or is it more like “hey! Working on xyz” a guy I am talking to always starts his texts with “hey!” Or “love it!” Is he interested or is this just how a guy texts?

Most guys are not huge fans of texting so it's really tough to know, also different guy different way of communicating, some guy might be more detached, another might be more into the conversation, another might be borderline needy, you can't really know quite frankly just according to texting, the signs are 1) if he flirts (that's teasing you included) and 2) which is most important one, tries to hangout with you which is easily done through text if you don't always see each other
