Guys, Why doesn't he tell me himself?

I'm talking to this guy whose in a relationship. We have developed a really strong bond with one another, so we talk about everything. However, I became very cool with his bestfriend to where now he calls me "sis". One night his friend decides to tell me how the guy really feels about me, which confuses me because he never tell me these things. Why is he telling his friend but not me?

His friend is a huge asshole. He shouldn't have said that. Some things are said in confidence and meant to remain secret. I think your friend is attracted to you but is faithful to his girlfriend and has no intentions of leaving her.

Understood, but what gets me is he sees his friend speaking to me. His friend has said to in front of him ''that he's hears a lot about me''. But the guy doesn't get upset when he does things like that. His response was just "dont tell her, she'll get a big head"

Yes the guy with the girlfriend does not tell me how he really feels, instead, he tell his bestfriend. Because of his situation, I would not expect for him to have feelings for me. However, when speaking to his bestfriend he does. Which confuses me, because me and the guy with the girlfriend talk about everything. So I'm not sure why he feels he can't come to me and express how he feels.

Because he says things to me in front of him. And he has seen his friend talking to me. If that wasn't the case I think I would automatically assume his friend is acting on his own.
