Is saying my apologies a good idea?

It's been some time since my first relationship and I feel like I can't move on until I apologize for my wrongdoings but we had a bad breakup and everyone is telling me not to text her that I could get in trouble but I hope/feel I wouldn't because even though we had a bad ending the relationship was good in my opinion well I'm just asking is it a good idea to apologize or so I just leave it be?

She had a restraining order on me but not anymore I still could get in trouble if she would to say that I texted her something bad or something in that case

Oof, yeah man I’m with your friends on this one give her some space. I know you feel the need to apologize in order to move on but if she went out of her way to put the restraining order against you then she does not want to talk or see you. Maybe in the future but not now. Maybe consider therapy or another means of moving on.
