A man I’m in love with but cut off sex last year and barely speak to anymore drove from the next state over on my birthday to drop of a few gifts including two cards, one he wrote “I love you” really big in. He didn’t even try to see me. He showed up while so was gone to dinner with a friend and didn’t even tell me he was coming or that he had been there. He just put them on my kitchen table and left. My son let him in. The kicker is he knows I want to be with him. He’s my teen/ first crush. We both became single a few years ago and casually saw each other until he told me he loves me but doesn’t deserve me and doesn’t want to try to be in a relationship because then he will fuck it up and make me hate him and make it to where I never talk to him again. So why bother?
I’m confused now but not sure what to do. I did call him and thank him he was just like you’re welcome. He said I saw everybody writing you on Facebook and thought I’m gonna do something better.

I did we had a 30 minute phone conversation basically telling me that he doesn’t want anything to ever happen to me and he wants me to always be in his life and then he asked me how things were going with the guy I been seeing and I told him I think we’re starting to fade away from each other because we don’t talk much anymore. Me and the other guy that is. Then he’s like a couple of my post on Facebook since and that’s it.
