He said we were just friends, nothing more. He's made it a point to tell me that we're just friends constantly and that it's "crystal clear" that we won't be anything more than that. Last night he asked me about my credit and finances. I said "Why does any of this matter to you because it's never going to affect you." He said, "We don't know this. What if in a year we decide to buy a house together?" I said, "Why would we buy a house together if we're just friends?" He says, "Well we can't predict the future." So then I said, "You've already said it's "crystal clear" that we would never be anything more than friends."
His final response was "The water for us isn't crystal clear. It's more on the murky side so time will tell."
What on earth is going on in his mind?
