This just makes the environment feel so loaded! Why do this! What’s it for? What do you want from this!!! How is a woman supposed to respond with out looking like a flirt or a bitch 🤷♀️🤷♀️ ITS A STITCH UP
its the precise wording thats important. if the words beautiful were used then, that means he likes you and most probably would like to take it further.
however, i often compliment some of the ladies at work, but will usually compliment "thats a nice dress and suits you" or "your looking good today is that a new dress" etc. now i am only trying to pay a compliment, nothing else well maybe help make her feel good about herself, after all there is nothing better than being paid a compliment.
i dont look at it any different to being told that i done a good bit of work or i smelled nice etc.
so my question back is. what would you like a guy to say that doesn't put you in that situation where you feel uncomfortable but still receive a complement? as if there is nothing that we can say (as a man to a lady), then thats a sad situation and how far will that lead, to a bar or a night out etc, how would guys be able to talk to ladies' in the future?
my recommendation is to accept it as a complement and go on with your day feeling good about yourself.

@Markm3212. You should not make any comments about a woman's appearance unless you don't care about your job.

@KrakenAttackin firstly @ KrakenAttackin you live in America so that’s not like the rest of the world. :) complimenting each other in NZ isn’t illegal or harassment 🤷♀️.

I’m all good with nice shoes 🤷♀️👠. And anything goes as far as complimenting outside of work🤷♀️. There’s just something about the compliment about physical appearance within a working environment that feels like it undermines my professional respect… I don’t know why but I’d far rather my peer said great work turning that deal around for me 🤔🤷♀️.

@wittymilf. Ok, fair enough. Yes the U. S. has gone overboard. It is harassment to offer help to a pregnant woman unless she asks here (right out of my HR manual).

The guy i like has been encouraging me re my work n has helped me when I've been stressed. plus going as far as asking if I've eaten (i don't eat well as i don't sleep well) so taking an interest without going over the boundaries

+1 yI have told many women they are beautiful. I've done so in different continents, different languages and almost every one (except for one) were gracious and have thanked me. One French woman told me I was the first American guy she met that knew how to compliment a woman. Sometimes it's about fashion sense and I'll remark how attractive it is on her but most of the time I received sincere thanks. It seems completely different telling a woman that to her face as compared to being catcalled a group- of guys. Three times thus far it has been consummated which is nothing I expected but it usually goes like, "you're pretty not yourself" that gives me a decent chance off getting in end zone. The fact that I've ever scored from it likely has a bit to do when it has happened. The only negative response I've gotten was once in a supermarket when I told a Japanese woman and she didn't say a thing just walked past me. I was really surprised at the amount of responses that prompted most of them to at least than me sincerely for telling them. I'm now trying to think of a natural segue into expressing a desire to get them off. I haven'[t yet figured out how to promise them more and more intense orgasms. I'd appreciate any tips should you know of them. One I considered would be a follow up compliment stating the only that if she was so beautiful that I went out of my way to compliment her and the only thing I can imagine that would enhance it would be the glow of an orgasm lighting up your features. Aside from the fact that I would be too chicken-in many cases at least- to say that and I think that the vast , majority though truly gracious when complimented might think that adding the orgasm part might be a bit much. and might negate the warm and fuzzy feeling the original compliment created. I'd really like to come up with some way of at least planting the seed - literally and figuratively

I honestly have no idea. Any guy who says something like that in the workplace is asking for trouble.
40 Reply3.1K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. I generally don't because it is considered inappropriate work behavior and, in the USA, can lead to issues regarding sexual harassment. That said, I have been close to some female employees - women who've known me a long time or are already comfortable with me to talk about something like that, then I may comment - as a friend. For instance, I have a coworker (when I was in the office) and she is beautiful... Like elephant-in-the-room beautiful. It affects all males and it is fun to see it. It affects me too, but I keep it under control. However, I used to work with her for her husband and all three of us were friends. Once she and I started working in a different building, I became her "work husband" so we'd talk etc. Still, I never crossed a line and I love her husband as much as her. She has confided in me worrying about her looks at times; in an ironic twist, she has no idea how attractive she is to us... and she's 59 and still stunning!
10 Reply1.7K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. If a guy is telling you you look beautiful he is more thank likely flirting with you and pretty much saying he wouldn’t mind ripping your clothes off but again it depends on how he said it to you , if he was straight to the point saying You are beautiful he is more than likely flirting with you and complimenting you , If he says you are a beautiful girl. He is just trying to make you feel better by giving her a compliment , but all in all when a guy pretty much tells a girl she is beautiful or gorgeous he is pretty much indicating that he has the hots for her by complimenting her. He is letting her know that he is interested pretty much

+1 ymy short term goal is to make you smile, in the hopes that you’ll feel better about yourself. My longer-term goal is to have mind blowing sex with you, because you feel happy and good about yourself. I definitely want to get you in bed, but I want you to feel good about it.

+1 y1st, (most common): I would only say that if I thought she would actually WANT to hear it, and as long as it were true, I'd like it if a made some lady's day a little better.
2nd, (less often): In the far corner of my mind, I kind hope she picks up on - and likes - the fact that I'm going to be thinking about her in a couple minutes while jerking-off in the office bathroom.

+1 yI would guess it means they either are just being nice, or they are flirting and hoping for a date and eventual sex/relationship.
You could just say "thank you" and not go any further with it if you aren't into them, that would count as not being a flirt or a bitch.11 Reply 2.2K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. men should never comment on a woman's appearance at all for any reason. Only foolish men do that as they can be arrested for harassment. I hope all you women are satisfied that you've managed to weaponize the legal system to the point that men can't even give you compliments anymore.

Some children are also girls who can now grow up
And lead independent lives with out boundaries. But don’t stress too much there is still millions of people finding live and having children. They just need to mutually respect each other. Also some really talent and happy children being raised my mums and dad’s independently. - +1 y
Women who are independent don’t need men with a lot of money, they do probably have higher expectations of a guy though so they don’t have to carry him financially. Seems fair right based on the fact that you wouldn’t want a woman who needs you for money , that women would also feel that way about men🤷♀️
558 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. It cuts both ways. Women compliment men and don't get accused of making an inappropriate comment.
Why should it be any different if a man pays a woman a compliment?
It's not like we'll accuse her of being a female chauvinistic sow...35 Reply- +1 y
People get dressed and pay attention in their appearance if they haven’t given up on life🤷♀️. They don’t do it so people in the work place will come and tell them they’re beautiful. I mean when you get dressed it’s not so people will tell you that right?
Obviously different for your loved ones or if you are attending a social event
A smile and a "thank you." That's it.
If someone telling you something nice about yourself makes you angry, then you just might be a First World Karen.21 Reply
Anonymous(45 Plus)+1 yI find as a man seeing it well dressed woman. I find through my training in sexual harassment it does not say hurt to say you got a nice dress. I have found that all she needs to say is why thank you. It also depends upon how the mail approaches the female. You also learned to keep my eyes on her eyes.

+1 yI wouldn't say that to any woman in real life unless I was in a relationship with her.
On GAG maybe only if she asked a question about her appearance or expressed concern about her appearance, but only if I genuinely thought that.
20 Reply 5.7K opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Generally it's just a warm fuzzy I give. If you're thinking about how to respond to it you're thinking too hard. I was just giving a compliment. Take it the way you want to. 🙄
11 ReplyA compliment. Women have been programed to think every thing is sexualized assualt on them. Just say thank you.
Or, we want to bend you over your desk and have kinky dirty sex right there.

If it's face to face it's best if it's after work hours and off the property where once my director stated "what people do on their own time is their own business". In the workplace you have too many busybodies misconstruing the facts and dramatize everything.

u +1 yhmm, I have never done that... lol
precisely because it can make things awkward14 Reply- +1 y
lmao... actually, regardless of the environment...
whether a coworker or someone else at some other place or context, it is extremely rare that I ever approach a woman to just say "you are beautiful" as a flirt or whatever
first because, I just feel like I do not want to be the guy #1,343,645,745 that ever said the same thing to her, lmao...
and then because if I really don't know her... I don't know if she well feel awkward or not comfortable or any of that
so I don't know... is something I just don't do, lol - +1 y
Yeah , I’m not sure why, but it can definitely feel like it undermines my professional capacity when it’s in a work environment. It feels sexist kinda.
Pissed at the pub 🤷♀️ meh I get it, thats your own time so you can let loose with personal interaction. It still requires emotional maturity to know when and what to say however. - +1 y
those two are definitely true... me being the employer is MORE the reason to not go around "flirting" with coworkers lmao... but even if I were not, people go to work, to do their job... not get flirted on
now, out of the work... at other settings, I definitely rather wait till the right moment for the right things... and not just approach and try to "force" things to happen out of nowhere, lol
+1 yIf I imagine such a situation, it would have to be that I'm interested in her, and can't help myself from telling her what I think of her. However, in 99% of work situations, I would NEVER do that!

I do like this 1 guy a lot n im starting to think he could like me 2 he's been so caring n encouraging, winds me up no end but unless something serious happened where i said no id never report him

@Monalisa77 it’s never professional to compliment people on physical attributes, in or out of work place and irrespective of gender
