If a girl goes up and talks to him before I get the chance does that mean I should just give up?

To be clear I always go for more introverted or guys who aren’t around a ton of girls with mostly guy friends. Problem is I always get nervous talking to guys I like and chicken out and then some other girl will just easily weave her way into his conversation and now they’re laughing together etc. I’m always under the impression whatever girl gets to him first he’ll like the most or he’ll think see her as special (which is exactly why I don’t even entertain popular or super social guys because you’re never gonna be special to them) no matter how great I am I might as well give up there. Does first always win the race with guys or do you still have a chance?

You have to look at the guy to see if he has an interest in her and if they continue on talking in the future or not, if not then you can talk to him. Besides how do you know it’s not just business talk
