Do girls have good chance starting conversation with a guy even if he hasn’t said anything to her first?

I really want to talk to this guy in my class but I’m deathly afraid of embarrassing myself if he doesn’t want to talk to me or something. What are my chances of failing and how can I talk to him and not make him think I’m weird, we sit right next to eachother?

I’m never worried once I start talking to a guy I just can never get over the initial awkwardness and fear of starting a conversation. Every guy I’ve ever known rlly well or been friends with has always approached me first because I just get too nervous.

Here’s a trick they worked back when I felt nervous. Just count down in your head from 5 to 1 and then say hi. That way you are doing something and then boom you say hello

He sat next to me again and he ended up talking to me in a get to know the person next to you type activity. We have some things in common and overall I feel like we just really clicked. He talked to me a during and after class too so I’m hoping to talk to him more since he’s just really nice and funny!
