Guys, How to make him talk about himself?

My bestie's brother and I like each other but never came out. the prob is he's a confident shy mysterious guy, he rarely shares smthng about himself, ik everything just from his sis. he lives abroad so we use snapchat, we just send snaps to each other, if he's in trouble that mybe i can help in , he would ask his sis not me (he tells everything to her , like he's shy about going on a date) how can i make him trust me to share his day and mybe even call me to ask

start by talking to him about yourself and how you feel about life in general

Start by asking him about his day. First ask quite general questions. His work, his colleagues, about his place, his eating habits etc. Depending on his responses, you can either dial up or dial down your efforts. Remember, never disclose anything he tells you to anyone. Not even his sister. You can let her know that you spoke to him. But not specifically what. Some guys (specially shy guys) value their privacy. If you start spilling whatever he tells you, he will immedietly shut you off.

Also, never gossip to him anything about his sisters or close ones. It is a huge red flag and would make him think you might gossip about him with others as well.

Important thing to note here is that he is your bestie's bro. Usually sisters of friends, friends of sisters etc are off limit. So that could be one reason why he is keeping his distance from you.
