Why does this male friend of mines giving mix signals?

Hi guys

I just need your opinion please. My friend is a guy we work together. Than we got close we kind of kissed quite few times but i knew we where friends... so i let destiny take its course but than after a while he says we can only just be friends cause his gt a friends with benefits. I accepted it cause i also found someone else dat I love and respect now.

All the while I thought we where just friends and ignore what happened. Than he sends me a message he doesn't want to chat to me or have anything to do with me. yet he sits next to me at work but his behavior at work is different always talking to me. I heard he gt a girlfriend so why does he flirt with me.2 days ago I chatted to him he took of with me why i contacted him he doesn't want to have nothing to do with me. why does he give me mix signals at work. He said me now only he gt a girlfriend and he doesn't want to hurt her and as a woman i respect that. I feel hurt that I took him as a friend yet now he sees me as a work colleague. I feel he didn't respect me to be honest with me.

I told him dont talk to me at work I need space tel his senior ask me since she and I are close. Please tell me why his doing this and i and if I am exaggerating.

Well he views talking to you as disrespect to his new girlfriend and I think with you two working together he doesn’t want to make it awkward even though he is already, if that makes sense? Maybe talk to him “hey I accept that you have a girlfriend and I respect your girlfriend. I don’t want things between us to be awkward, there’s no hard feelings” sometimes you just have to break the ice

If you don't talk to him at work then how is he flirting with you? Staring is not flirting so I don't know what you are making up in your head maybe?
