Why a guy from work would give mixed signals?

This guy at work who is my boss is acting hot and cold since I met him. He is smiling , he stares at me. He is talking with me. Sometimes he does the opposite and he doesn't say a thing. A week ago he heard a conversation I had with a coworker. He heard me saying I was going outside to have a walk. 2 seconds later he was in front of me. We started talking and we were mid path to a park. Suddenly he said he needs to go somewhere else and he just left. Awkward moment. I mean my thoughts are that he doesn't want to be seen with his subalterns. I get it because while we were walking I was feeling weird and it just didn t feel right. Maybe the vibe was tense because we feel something for eachother. I have no idea really... any thoughts about this?

Okay so I think you are looking way to into things here. Your boss talking to you is not a signal that he likes you. He is your boss. Bosses talk to employees. Surely you have noticed him talking to other people at work right? The whole he heard me saying I was going on a walk. How can you be sure that he heard you? Him being there when you were going to walk could have been pure coincedence. Really the only thing that you have to know is DON'T date coworkers. This includes your boss. What happens when things go wrong and you have to still report to him?
